Chandigarh: At least, 25 kilogramme cake was cut on the 125th birth anniversaryof Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar by the Dalit Welfare association at Plaza, Sector 17 here, on Tuesday.On this occasion B R Tisavar said, “the 125th birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar is being celebrated as Human Rights day.” He also said that many followers paid tribute to the Dr B R Ambedkar. The chief guest for the event was Raj Kumar. Besides, Rakesh Bhadhur, District Attorney was also present during the event.
During the event, B R Tisavar guided the community about the values that had been taught by Ambedkar. He also highlighted the issues including racism, non-touchable and religion disputes due to which brotherhood is affected within the country even after 69 years of Independence. He also added that we should follow the principles of BR Ambedkar and should encourage education for economically weaker section of the society and also help them in progressing. During the cake cutting ceremony, cake was distributed among the followers of the Dr B R Ambedkar.
